Special support in times of Covid-19

The pandemic was a key and challenging moment for our Foundation, because the sky stopped for commercial flights, but we activated our planes and our people to help those who were most affected in this time of crisis and uncertainty.

• Thanks to our alliance with Antioquia Presente and the Leticia caravan, Colombia shows! We transport medical equipment and supplies, SENA and Civil Defense volunteer personnel, and 8 tons of food.
• In alliance with the Association of Food Banks (Abaco) we had two flights in which we transported school kits and more than 35 tons of food to the department of La Guajira.
• We join the call of the first lady of Colombia, María Juliana Ruiz, to bring, together with the Colombian Air Force, 56 tons of food to different municipalities in the country during the period of mandatory isolation.

  We never stop thinking about the well-being of Viva employees. We were aware of the needs of the airline’s employees in Colombia and Peru, who were also affected by the cessation of activities during the pandemic, which is why we contributed to their quality of life with more than 450 Sodexo vouchers.
