In order to reduce adolescent pregnancy rates and levels of child sexual violence it is necessary to convert education programs into comprehensive strategies that promote knowledge and respect for sexual and reproductive rights in actors such as parents, caregivers and educators. This in order to guarantee its continuity in the long term.
With the Viva Project developed between the Foundation and Profamilia we reached the municipalities of Yopal, Santa Marta and Cali to impact, through educational activities on sexual and reproductive health and well-being, more than 1.500 children and girls between 6 and 9 years old; 900 preteens between the ages of 10 and 14, 900 adolescents and young people between 15 and 18 years old, and 1875 mothers, fathers and teachers.
The goal for this 2022 is to benefit 300 girls and boys through sexual abuse prevention processes, as well as to train 450 adolescents and young people in sexual and reproductive rights, to that they can be autonomous in decision-making and avoid violence and premature pregnancies. Additionally, we will seek to deploy a strategy that reaches at least 470 adults, including parents, teachers and health service providers who accompany the processes of Comprehensive Education for Sexuality.
